Tomorrowland time! Space Mountain is down (sniff) so we console ourselves with a visit to the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Afterwards, we discover an interesting secret about the FastPass distribution machines and go for a ride on the TTA, where we are treated to a rare sight: Space Mountain with the lights on! WDW Park Audio 032 - Day 7 - Magic Kingdom Arrival, Crystal Palace Magic

It's a new day! Yay!

And the last day of our trip. (Sniff)

We slept in this morning, after staying at Epcot past midnight the previous night, so we got a late start and arrived at the Magic Kingdom around noon feeling hungry. Time to collect some FastPasses for the day and look for some food. Do we have a chance at a second Crystal Palace buffett lunch in one trip? Without a reservation? On a Friday? At lunchtime? After Illuminations finishes and most vistors start filing toward the exits, we (savoring the three "Extra Magic Hours" available to us) instead head for what was once know as the Motion Pavilion in Futureworld. WDW Park Audio 029 - Day 6 - Exploring World Showcase, Leaving for a Nap

Join us for a stroll through the eastern end of World Showcase. Things start as we leave lunch in the Italy pavilion, pass the America pavilion as the fife and drum corps perform and enter the Japan pavilion for a little shopping and exploration. While we're there, we have a chance use our meager Japanese and we take in a performance by the taiko drummers. After that, as it is the middle of a very hot afternoon, we head back to our hotel for a well earned nap.

Come along for the fun! For extra points, try to guess what we buy in Mitsukoshi (the shop in the Japan pavilion).

WDW Park Audio 028 - Day 6 - Maelstrom

Come along with us on the most unintentionaly hilarious ride in Walt Disney World, the incomparable Maelstrom! One of only 2 rides in World Showcase (both boat rides; go figure!) and the only real attraction in the Norway pavilion, Maelstrom takes its bemused riders through the "mystery and adventure" of Norway, featuring non-threatening, stationary polar bears, deep sea oil platforms and (i'm not joking) a 3-headed troll.

WDW Park Audio 027 - Day 6 - The Seas . . . Take 2

We pick up where we left off last week, entering in the World Showcase . . . only to realize it was too early and pretty much nothing was open yet. So we turn ourselves around and make a bee-line back towards the front of Futureworld and spend the next 90 minutes or so in The Seas pavilion. Come along with us as we ride The Seas with Nemo and Friends, take in Turtle Talk with Crush (a live-animation interactive theater show - it has to be seen to be believed), learn about manatees and then wander around the gigantic, two story aquarium.

WDW Park Audio 026 - Day 6 - Futureworld Odds and Ends

Our second morning at Epcot continues with a quick visit to Innoventions for another go at The Sum of All Thrills, a design-your-own virtual coaster experience. It's an exibit/ride which begs for repetition and, as those who heard our first time on this will know, carefully adjusted recording levels. (That's my way of saying it's loud . . . and that the sound is much better this time.)

After that, we head toward World Showcase, but we take a couple of detours on the way. First, we walk through a butterfly garden, where I give a newly hatched butterfly a helping hand. Then we stop by Club Cool and sample some soft drinks from around the world. All I can say is, beware the Beverly.
